Abbasi Shaheed Hospital – Karachi

To provide free-of-cost, quality emergency care to the children living in the northern part of Karachi, ChildLife Foundation approached the mayor, of Karachi and the Medical Superintendent, of Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. After the fruitful discussion, an MOU was signed to initiate building the infrastructure for Pead’s Emergency Room.

On June 30, 2018, 55 bedded ChildLife’s fifth Emergency Room constructed over 6600 sq. feet was inaugurated at Abbasi Shaheed Hospital. It is modern, fully automated, equipped with defibrillator, phototherapy units and well stocked pharmacy. This ER will help to save 150, 000 children annually living in the areas of Paposh Nagar and neighborhood of Nazimabad.

Mustafa

Mustafa was brought to the ChildLife ER in Korangi because there were no healthcare facilities near their residence in Lali Goth. He was diagnosed with Pneumonia and will remain at the ER until his chest X Ray shows an improvement in his condition.
