Global Study Reports High-Quality of Pediatric Emergency Rooms Operated by ChildLife

The latest research study by US-based PALISI Global Health highlights the exceptional quality of pediatric Emergency Rooms (ERs) in government hospitals operated by ChildLife Foundation.

A one-year study (2021-2022) evaluated ERs at:

  • Civil Hospital Karachi
  • Sheikh Zayed Children Hospital, Larkana.

The findings are remarkable: the mortality rate for critically ill children in these hospitals is just 1.2%, compared to an average of 6.3% across 46 sites in 19 low-income countries.

This success underscores the modernization of ChildLife’s ER featuring improved infrastructure, state-of-the-art equipment, and well-trained healthcare professionals. Our efficient systems and protocols have significantly increased survival rates, treating over 2 million children annually, free of cost across Pakistan.
